Abstract: The Annual Conference of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) provides an opportunity for those interested in the development and application of mass spectrometry to present new research and ideas. This year the Conference will be held in Long Beach, California, from June 10 to June 15, with an expected attendance of about 2500. The Conference is host to special topics short courses (10), workshops (5), interest group meetings (9), and manufacturers' forums. Abstracts from the more than 1600 oral and poster presentations will become part of the Conference's Proceedings, which will be sent to those attending the Conference and those who are members of ASMS. Highlights of this Conference will be presented.
